Without further ado, here’s the 4 song EP, free to stream and download.
It ranges all the way from alternative rock, to indie, to classical and back over the course of the 4 songs. Partially due to my background in classical piano, guitar, and violin.
Field Day pretty much stays within its limits as an indie electronic rock song, but 1000 SUNS starts as a rock song, becomes a classical...

Museum of Modern Art - Qatar
What a money shot:
On December 30th 2010, Qatar will open the Muthaf Arab Museum of Modern Art in the states capital, Doha. The building is an existing 5,500 sqm venue that has been dramatically redesigned by Jean-Francois Bodin, especially at the facade where modern architectural features have been added. The museum will feature over 6,000 pieces of Arab artwork dating from the 1840′s to the...

I recently told a friend that I actually have really liked glowing orbs for a while. I don’t think they got what I meant. But this video is an example.
I would, however, like to have seen a little more animated and control over the music. While the ambient sounds work for a time, I can only see it as the first step when you could make a really exciting and animated DJ set out of it.

NL Architects' Pearl River
NL Architects have designed a conceptual bridge for the Hong Kong border, featuring roads that would loop over each other to allow for the fact that traffic must drive on the left in Hong Kong but on the right in China.
The Flipper is a device that is designed to ‘celebrate’ the traffic switch. The Flipper aspires to make tangible the change of the road system. It hopes to elegantly...

Virtual Realities by NL Architects
Some of these are quite interesting, others quite lazily shopped. I’ve posted the interesting ones.
Google Forest – the sea levels rise. Less land is available. How can we increase the capacity of our cities?
Phantom Pain – in the capitals of Europe 18 square kms of office space is left unused. This equals more than half of Manhattan. Or a ghost town of 50 twin towers.
Now this...

Interactive skateboard half pipe to promote Tron
Now this is what I’m talking about. The projection on the half pipe track’s the rider and responds accordingly. On top of that, each rider has an ipod with an app that controls the graphics and measures their air.

Why This Would Fail in Architecture School
I’m introducing a new bit. It’s called “Why this would FAIL in architecture school”.
Here’s the deal. Studio’s been going great-today I had a critique that went well, not great, but the house I’m designing has some flaws and they were understandably pointed out to me.

Soundclash Show Battle
This is probably the coolest music battle I’ve heard of.
So it’s not like a normal battle of the bands-these bands are established. But I do wish all battles went like this. Also I have an innate love of Shiny Toy Guns. Well at least their first album…
And it’s from Red Bull? Hm I guess they do cool things…
On Sunday, November 14 at Atlanta’s iconic concert...

Inflatables installation in 3 weeks
The final installation was composed of a series of balloons and “weights” that were constructed out of sheets of aluminum coated nylon fiber. During our experimentation phase we discovered that there was a certain ratio of material to volume that the balloons could hold up. Using that ratio, we developed a system where we had modules made up of balloons and material weights. Some of the ...

Dead Drops- Super cool filesharing system is not...
Wish I knew about this when I was in NY!
I am pleased to preview ‘Dead Drops’ a new project which I started off as part of my ongoing EYEBEAM residency in NYC the last couple weeks. ‘Dead Drops’ is an anonymous, offline, peer to peer file-sharing network in public space. I am ‘injecting’ USB flash drives into walls, buildings and curbs accessable to anybody in public space. You are invited...

100 Orbs of Light
Installation work is one of my favourites-no innate purpose, no restricted access-just the installation and the public interacting.
This past weekend in Philadelphia, 100 orbs of light floated in the Schuylkill River, glimmering and changing color in response to the activity of passers-by on shore. The installation, designed by Howeler + Yoon Architecture, is enabled by RFID tags—when a...

Lazarides' Hell-Dante's Inferno

Here is one instance of this.

500 days of summer soundtrack crossed with Lil Wayne songs.
I haven’t listened to the whole thing, but I’ll entertain the concept. The Hall and Oats Lollipop isn’t bad-although I can see it getting irritating fast.
